We provide a wide range of services, including consulting and marketing promotions for Japanese food sales overseas, to help companies expand their business overseas.

01 Supporting Product Exports

National and regional laws and regulations vary depending on the export destination.
The JFC Group, which exports to more than 20 countries around the world, is well-equipped to support challenging and complex overseas exports.
Not only do we handle product export ourselves, but our local Group companies store these products and deliver them to retailers and restaurants.
Since JFC Japan purchases the products, the commercial distribution is the same as for domestic sales.

■Process Flow

  • 01 Product Selection

    ● JFC checks which countries are valid for export and sales based on the raw materials used, and will calculate the local sales price based on quotations.

    ● JFC provides consultative advice based on local market research.

  • 02 Export Preparation

    ● JFC advises clients on required documentation to ensure compliance with varying laws and regulations from country to country.

    ● JFC prepares labels for overseas use.

  • 03 Exporting

    ● Time from receipt to port departure depends on ship timing, but is generally 20 days.

    ● The time from departure in Japan to port arrival in the U.S. is approximately 14 days for the West Coast, and approximately 15 days for the East Coast.

    ● The time from port arrival to receipt at the local warehouse is approximately 14 days.

    *Timings vary from country to country, and will be discussed during meetings between JFC and clients.
  • 04 Local Storage

    ● JFC stores and manages products in three temperature-zone warehouses: room temperature, refrigerated, and frozen.

    *Some warehouses offer super-frozen capabilities depending on the region.
  • 05 Delivery

    ● JFC delivers products to stores with its own truck fleet.

  • 06 Sales

    ● JFC's local staff provides sales, marketing, and support services to retailers and restaurants.

02 Support for Opening Stores Around the World

Food handling regulations differ depending on the country where our clients want to open their new locations.
The JFC Group provides support to help businesses provide the same menu items locally as they do in Japan, including with locally procured products.
Export from Japan to other countries is done using containers designed specifically by JFC, allowing for small-batch exports without exorbitant cost.
We assist our clients to ensure new locations are opened smoothly based on information gathered in the target countries.

  • 01 Destination Country Selection

    ● We gather and share information from local JFC entities, including information on competitors and market conditions in each country.

  • 02 Ingredient Selection

    ● JFC checks to determine whether or not the same food ingredients as in Japan can be used for import to the destination country.

    ● we will provide information on food Ingredients that have already been exported and locally produced food ingredients.

  • 03 Price Consideration

    ● JFC calculates expected the wholesale price of local store that combines delivery costs and product prices for the ingredients foodstuff used.

    ● We also share local information such as market prices etc.

  • 04 Product Exports

    ● Export flow is the same as described in 01/Supporting Product Exports.

  • 05 Local Storage

    ● In order to ensure stable supply, we discuss local sales conditions with store staff and establish an inventory schedule that takes into account lead times.

  • 06 Delivery

    ● Through discussions with store staff, we establish a delivery schedule to ensure smooth store operations.

03 Promotional Activities

To expand the sales of exported products, the JFC Group conducts various promotional activities.

04 Regulatory Compliance and Quality Control

JFC has established a detailed raw material database to comply with the laws and regulations of export destinations.
We also visit manufacturing contractors to check their production management according to our own rigorous standards, and share information with them to ensure product quality control, safety, and a stable supply.
